All background fingerprinting at the Shelton Police Department is by appointment only.


Effective July 26, 2021, the State of Connecticut transitioned to a new Fingerprinting Identification System.  This system allows persons being fingerprinted to pre-register with the State.  This allows faster processing time when coming in to be fingerprinted.  Those who pre-register will be given and Identification Number.  When you arrive for your fingerprinting appointment, you will give the officer you Registration Identification Number and your information will be retrieved through the new Fingerprinting Identification System.

The Shelton Police Department offers Fingerprinting Services for Shelton residents, Shelton Board of Education Employees, and Daycare Workers employed in Shelton.

Tuesdays and Thursday

9:00-11:00 and 5:00-7:00

Saturdays

9:00-11:00

Fingerprint Cards are $5.00 each
