Beginning Monday, October 2nd and continuing for the next 2 or 3 weeks, the northbound lane of Howe Avenue in the area under the Route 8 Bridge will be closed to all traffic from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. The detour will have all northbound traffic turn left onto Kneen Street and then right onto Coram Avenue. Vehicles can then turn right onto Hill Street, Cornell Street or Center Street to get back on Howe Avenue. Police will be on the scene to assist with traffic.

State statutes provide exemptions for veterans, the blind, and totally disabled. If you now have an exemption, it will be automatically deducted at tax billing time. For those who do not have one, but feel that they could qualify for an exemption, make inquiry at the Assessor’s Office.
