November 3, 2020 Presidential Election UPDATE
The Shelton Town Clerk’s Office received notice from the Secretary of the State that their office will be mailing each eligible voter in Connecticut an absentee ballot application in the upcoming weeks. If you are choosing to vote absentee, your completed application should be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office in order for your information to be put into the State Voter System qualifying you to receive your absentee ballot. IMPORTANT: If you have already mailed in an absentee ballot application for the November election, your ballot will be mailed directly by our office once available on October 2, 2020.
Absentee ballots will become available on October 2, 2020. Your absentee ballot will be mailed to you directly from our office. Once completed, please utilize the secure drop box located outside of City Hall or the Huntington Branch of Post Office. This will allow us to process the information faster than if you utilized the service of a post office. It is your choice whether you use this system, or decide to mail the absentee ballot through the post office.
At this point in time, all five (5) polling places will be open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm on Election Day, November 3, 2020 should you wish to vote in person.
