Shelton Fireworks for the 4th of July will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd on the Riverwalk-Veterans Park in downtown. There is a concert before the fireworks by Mia and the Riff that begins at 7:00 and fireworks to follow at dark.
The Shelton Parks & Recreation Department is offering the following classes at the Community Center, 41 Church Street. Space is limited so those interested must pre-register in person; cash or check only. After a class has started, people may still sign up as long as there is room. Information about the pool is posted on the city website: www.cityofshelton.org, Community, Pool Information. The Shelton Parks and Recreation Department has a limited number of openings in their Adult Women’s Softball League for the 2013 season. The league entry fee is approximately $400. For information concerning eligibility requirements, please call the Parks and Recreation office at ( 203-925-8422.
