OTHER SHELTON COOLING CENTERS WHICH ARE OPEN SATURDAY ONLY, JULY 20, 2019, ARE THE SHELTON COMMUNITY CENTER FROM 8:00 A.M. UNTIL 4:00 P.M. AND PLUMB LIBRARY & HUNTINGTON BRANCH LIBRARY FROM 10:00 A.M. UNTIL 3:00 P.M. On Friday, July 19, 2019, beginning at 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., the City's Highways & Bridges department will be commencing road resurfacing work which is planned for Mill Street and Buddington Road. Please be aware there will be some rerouting of traffic, lane closures and possible brief delays. Work on Lane Street Bridge bypass road will commence the week of July 15, 2019. Please be aware of the construction activities for your safety.

Shelton Mayor Mark A. Lauretti, with the consent and cooperation of Post 16, American Legion and VFW Post 10466, is pleased to announce the appointment of William “Bill” Kozak, Jr. as the City of Shelton Veteran’s Service Contact Person (VSCP).

Kozak is charged with helping veterans and their dependents with reemployment, rehabilitation, education and adjustment to peacetime living.  “Bill” is a U. S. Air Force veteran.  He is a 31 year American legion member and has served for over 10 years as the Post 16 Service Officer.
