Skate Park

The Shelton – Derby Skatepark will be opening on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 2:30 pm. The park, which is located between Riverdale Avenue and Hull Street in Shelton, will be open until November 21 after which it will close until spring.  

For this short opening period the park will be open at no charge for residents of Shelton and Derby and members of the Valley YMCA, all of whom must have completed proper registration and waiver forms.  The forms are available at the Shelton and Derby Community Centers and the Valley YMCA. 

For the short opening period the park will be open Monday through Friday from 2:30 – 5:00 pm and weekends noon to 5:00 pm.  The area will be supervised by the Valley YMCA.
